ASSEN - Jorge Lorenzo is still lying in the hospital after a
severe accident at the MotoGP free practice session. However, the Factory
Yamaha rider was still able to reveal the chronological accident.
Lorenzo fateful fate in the second free practice session on
Thursday (27/06/2013) evening local time. In the wet track conditions, Lorenzo
was unable to control the bike in speed over 200km/hour that bounced and hit
the asphalt and then dragged into the gravel.
Diagnosis of the doctors said, the Spaniard suffered a
broken collarbone in the bone-bone that connects the arm to the torso around
the chest.
"I thought, I was too confident. At that time, before
the accident, I felt very fast and very strong. But perhaps the track
conditions did not support my confidence high, "Lorenzo said as quoted by
Crash, Friday (28/06/2013).
"I enter the corner faster than the previous lap and I
think I'm past the puddle, or maybe aquaplaned effect that makes the rear
wheels and touch the white line. That makes it worse, and it's why I fell,
"he continued.
"I flew in and hit the ground when I have cracks
collarbone," he continued.
As a result of the accident Lorenzo will miss the race at
the Dutch MotoGP on Saturday (06/28/2013), may also be some next series
considering he had to undergo surgery in the next few days.
These results further add to the long row of 'bad luck'
Lorenzo at Assen, having previously had an incident that made him fail to
achieve maximum results.
